Yr9 BOY JCCT Illustration Winner

08/01/2020

K. Malore JCCT book 2019

We are proud to announce that Kaed  in Year 9 won The Jersey Child care trust  (JCCT) Seymour Bear Children’s Book Illustration in December 2019. There was fierce competition as the JCCT received well over 1,000 entries across 23 different schools on Jersey, so this really was an amazing achievement.

Kaed’s design was for Henry, the soldier bear, and he  he deserves this recognition of his talent.

The judges said they were ‘absolutely blown away’ by the enthusiasm and creativity shown.

Kaed is now invited to a half-day workshop in January with local illustrators Lauren Radley and Nanette Regan to develop his character’s illustrations.
