Buses
There are a number of buses that students can catch to get to school.
Route: 21, 53 and 57. Find detailed information on these routes on the Liberty Bus website.
AvanchiCard Student
AvanchiCard Student is the new smart card for paying for student bus fare. An application form can be collected from the Liberty Bus information desk at Liberation Station or you can download one below.
If you are aged 16 or over you will need a letter from Grainville school to take to Liberation Station when you collect your card; this is to confirm you are in full time education for the school year.

Student Transport
We actively encourage students to become independent citizens and safely use their bicycles/motorbikes/mopeds to get to and from school and thus reducing cars on the road outside school. Grainville offers students a safe and secure bike/motorbike compound which is locked at 9am by site staff and reopened at 2:50pm.
Bicycles
For students that cycle to school we expect them to be well maintained, including working brakes. Students should observe the Highway Code and always wear a cycle helmet.
Motorbikes
For students in Year 11 that wish to bring their motorbike/moped to school they must apply for a school permit to bring their motor vehicle onsite. Students must meet with the site manager with the following documents:
- Driver’s license (provisional)
- Certificate of Motor Vehicle Insurance
- Complete permit application form
