Fourteen budding chefs from 3 local schools were competing to win the initial stage of the Rotary Club’s National Young Chef Award. Each had to prepare a two course meal, for two, for less than £18. The standard was incredibly high. We couldn’t be more proud of all three of our girls who entered the competition; their menu, presentation and timing were exemplary. Competing against KS4 students, one of our year 9’s (KS3) won best dessert whilst Molly McGinnety bowled the judges over with her impressive menu, to win the local heat. She will now compete at district level in Southampton at the end of February. Good Luck Molly and Well Done Girls – a superb day for Grainville.
