Our talented Year 10 students have been working hard, creating a new mural at Corbiere with local artist Ben Robertson (BOKRA).
The themes of the three pieces are shipping, tourism and nature.
It features the steam train that used to run along the railway to the landmark lighthouse, a depiction of the 1995 Channel island ferry disaster, and some of the flora, fauna and wildlife commonly seen in the area, including a green lizard and butterfly.
The crows are a reference to the name Corbiere – “a place where crows gather”.
The project was thought up by Jersey Property Holdings, with the school and artist taking control of the design and execution.
