As part of the continuous professional development of staff at Grainville school, ICT champion Adam Grocott has been encouraging staff to undertake their own development and training on the Microsoft Educators community. Several staff have now accrued the required amount of points to call themselves a Microsoft Innovative Educator in utilising the Office 365 software available in school.
Members of staff, from all areas of the school, have completed courses including Digital Citizenship, Accessible Learning and Utilising OneNote. The program will continue throughout the academic year with the aim that all staff achieve Microsoft Innovative Educator status. When asked about the courses, ICT champion Adam Grocott said “the courses are an excellent way of staff developing their own skills in their own time, supported by me where needed, but ultimately this method of development is important for all staff to ensure they feel equipped to prepare students for 21st century learning”.
Teachers and support staff are seen below holding their Microsoft Innovative Educator badges which Adam recently bought back following a successful Microsoft Innovative Educator experts celebration at the London flagship store on Oxford Street.
