Mr McCafferty (football) Ms Silva ( cycling) and student Hannah Sterry ( swimming) represented Jersey at the recent Island Games held in Guernsey. It was Hannah’s first games and as one of the youngest members of Team Jersey she excelled finishing 5th and 7th in the 100 and 200 breastroke.
Ms Silva was in doubt she would make the start line after breaking her wrist in April but pulled it out of the bag with 4th in the 75km cycling road race just seconds off gold, the performance did earn her a team silver along with her fellow Jersey rider.
The final day saw the football team which included our head of PE Mr McCafferty net 5 goals to win the gold for the first time in several years.
