Grainville School is about to begin an exciting and final development (Phase 5) of a 20 year phased building programme. This latest phase will see the creation of a new wrap-around building providing state-of the art classrooms for subject specialist in English, Humanities, Modern Foreign languages, a new Special Educational Needs Department and a new Music wing including recording studio and practice rooms.
Students and staff will continue to use the current buildings until Phase 5 is complete and ready to move into. The oldest part of the school will then be demolished to open the space to provide a larger social courtyard for our growing school community. Phase 5 will cost approximately £15 million and will be completed by September 2021. A community presentation re Phase 5 is being planned for parents, students, school governors and local residents in May 2019. More details to follow.
