This week Grainville’s yr9 GCSE Art and Photography students have been involved in the ArtHouse Jersey project “ Skipton Forget me knots”. A large scale community project that employs creativity to help young people process and navigate their emotional journey during COVID19. Culminating in a breathtaking centralised installation made up of thousands of flowers made by various children from many of the local schools.
This week our students started creating their string of flowers whilst discussing various emotional journeys over the lock down period a very relaxing creative morning had by all. In November we will visit the finished art installation in the Maritime museum.
A lovely idea and we cant wait to see the finished art piece all lit up. Should be quite a sight!
Well done to all!
