
Caroline Polglase
Deputy Headteacher
Caroline is a local girl. After working in the finance industry after school she enrolled on an English Literature and Sociology degree at Liverpool Hope University. She then studied for her English and Special Educational Needs PGCE at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Caroline returned to Jersey in 2000 and accepted an NQT role in the English department at Grainville School. During her time at Grainville, Caroline developed her leadership roles through becoming actively involved in the island wide training and development of Critical Skills, Literacy across the Curriculum and Solution Orientated Schools. Caroline became Head of the English Department at Grainville and then Assistant Headteacher, acting up to support Susan Morris and finally in January 2018 she was appointed as permanent Deputy Headteacher.
Caroline is married with 2 children and currently studying for her NPQH. Her free time is spent with her family.
