
STEM day arrives at Grainville.
60 year 8 students take part in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) day run by the RAF and Smallpeice trust. Students explored the physics of flight, the impact of wing design and weight. Over the course of the day students created straw planes followed by models created out of wood. Teams competed for prizes
Cardboard Boat Race
Grainville took part in the Channel Islands Group of Professional Engineers Cardboard boat challenge. Student has to design build and test boats made from cardboard and other basic supplies. One team became the first to complete the course, before been beaten on time. All students had a great day and designed some very unique boats.
