Charlie Parker, Jersey’s new CEO took time to visit Grainville and tour the school, accompanied by Justin Donovan, Director of Education, and Mrs Morris, Headteacher. He was able to meet with students and staff before a group meeting with Secondary Headteachers.
Executive Headteacher, Mr J. McGuinness said he was impressed by Mr Parker’s clear vision and joined up thinking to improve public services in Jersey. Grainville school was pleased to host this visit so early in Mr Parker’s new role as Chief Executive. Mr Parker hopes to visit other schools in the weeks and months ahead.
In a recent interview with the Jersey Evening Post Mr Parker said of Jersey, ‘We need to develop a culture that’s based on teamwork and collaboration, openness and transparency, learning, innovation and appropriate risk-taking, combined with respect for customers and for each other.’
