Our school will be taking part in a JUST ONE Tree non-uniform day on Friday 6th December.
It will be the usual WWYLD (Wear What You Like Day) but as it is December we are asking pupils/staff to wear Christmas jumpers or anything with a Christmas theme. All students who wear non-uniform will be asked to make a £2 contribution to what we believe is a very worthy cause with half of the overall collection going to the charity and the other half going to the schools ECO club.
Just One Tree is a non-profit initiative removing CO2 from the atmosphere through global reforestation. Just One Tree supports established reforestation companies, namely the International Tree Foundation and Eden Reforestation Projects, who plant in areas severely affected by mass deforestation such as Kenya, Madagascar, Haiti & Indonesia. In doing so they have the greatest positive effect on global warming whilst simultaneously alleviating extreme poverty within impacted communities through training, education and employment.
Just One Tree makes it simple for everyone to contribute to collective action on the climate crisis because Just £1 plants 1 Tree.
