Last year, Year 7 had the opportunity to submit a piece of writing to The Queen’s Commonwealth Writing Competition on the topic of ‘A Commonwealth for Peace’.
There were over 12,300 entries from around the world which included hundreds from Jersey schools (Grainville, St Michael’s, St George’s and JCG)
We are extremely proud to announce that two Grainville students have received gold and silver certificates and they were invited to an awards ceremony last night at the Town Hall where 24 awards were presented by the new Lieutenant Governor Sir Stephen Dalton.
Congratulations to Nathaniel and George (now in Year 8).
George earned a Silver award and Nathaniel earned a Gold award – one of only six Golds that were presented to Jersey students. A fantastic achievement for both boys.
Well done to all who took part.
