The annual Valentine’s meal for senior citizens, representing all twelve parishes in Jersey, was another great success. Over 100 members of the Island community enjoyed a 3 course meal, entertainment and table service from Year 11 students as part of this traditional school event, now in its 38th year. This very special evening was sponsored and supported by Jersey Potteries. Music and song provided by students and staff. Raffle prizes gifted by staff and school community members. The evening allowed old friends to be reunited, students to talk to some of the more experienced members of our community, swapping childhood memories including living through the blitz in London the German occupation of Jersey. The evening ended all too fast with a congregational sing -song including the wonderful ‘Beautiful Jersey’, ably led by our local Connétable – Sadie Le Sueur-Rennard.
