Today we welcomed local architects Mark Dennis and Alison Horton to share their expertise with students in Years 8-11 who plan to take part in the Jersey School Architecture Competition. This takes place on 22nd September. During lunchtimes over the next two weeks students will be working together to build and test out their designs for a model bridge made from everyday ‘throw-away’ items. Team work, careful planning and creative design are all features of good architects and good skills to develop. Good luck to all the Grainville students taking part. Our thanks go to Mr Selby in Design Technology for leading this initiative at Grainville, and to add Mr Hutchings (Science) and Mr De Gruchy (RE) for their help and assistance.
