Grainville School is about to begin an exciting and final development (Phase 5) of a 20 year phased building programme. Phase 5 will cost 15 million pounds. Contractors RoK arrive on site next week. This is the last building phase that will see the creation of a new wrap-around building providing state-of the art classrooms for subject specialist in English, Humanities, Modern Foreign languages, a new Special Educational Needs Department and a new Music wing including recording studio and practice rooms. The old phase 5 will then be demolished.
A community presentation re Phase 5 is being planned for parents, students, school governors and local residents on 8th July 2019 in the main school hall starting at 6.00 p.m. lasting 40 minutes.
The presentation will enable community members the opportunity to examine the plans, talk to key staff involved in the build including architects, engineers and the building company RoK who have been awarded the two year ‘Phase 5’ building contact.
