What is Gifted & Talented?

Grainville School strives to ensure every pupil fulfils their potential with the aim to inspire, motivate and challenge every student. There are plenty of opportunities for pupils to add to their educational experiences and extend their interests, passions and areas of success at Grainville. The Rise Above Programme has been specifically designed to ensure that each and every student has the opportunity to access a range of different activities. The current Gifted and Talented Register is currently being updated. There are many definitions of ‘Gifted and Talented’ but at Grainville we believe they can be seen as two different areas:
Gifted pupils are those who have abilities in one or more subjects in the curriculum other than Art and Design, Music and PE.
Talented pupils are those who have abilities in Art and Design, Music, PE/Sport or performing arts such as Dance and Drama.
