Subject: Science

(Students rotate around key science themes within each year group and across years 7-9. This is a termly rotation)

During the year students will be expected to cover; Variation and Interdependence, The 7 Life Processes and Behaviour. They will focus on identifying key systems and their role in animals and plants.
Students will be assessed every half term either with a level assessed task or a written test.

During the year students will be expected to cover; States of matter, Simple Chemical Reactions and their Patterns; The Changing Earth and Environment. They will focus upon; physical and chemical changes, changes of state and the rock cycle paying particular attention to how science works.
Students will be assessed every half term either with a level assessed task or a written test.

During the year students will be expected to cover; Identifying Forces, Energy Transfer, and Earth and Space. They will focus on balanced forces, light sound and electricity and the solar system.
