Subject: Religious Education

During this term students will study special objects such as the Cross/Stake. During December they will reflect on the real Christian understanding of Christmas.

The main assessment task (s) will look at producing either a written project or a piece of needlework expressing Christian symbolism.

During this term students will study units on Rites of Passage, Birth & Baptism. The Jewish religion will be introduced through the modern Passover celebration.

The main assessment task(s) will look at designing a Jewish Passover placemat.

During this term students will be introduced to the religion of Islam. They will reflect on the 5 Pillars particularly the Hajj.

The main assessment task(s) will look at producing an Islamic tour guidebook for the pilgrimage to Mecca. They will also design a Christian T-shirt based on the titles of Jesus.
