Student Council
Grainville has an elected Student Council who meet regularly with their staff coordinator. Council members are representatives and ambassadors for the general student body. The Student Council will be co-chaired by the Head Boy and Head Girl in 2011-12. Students throughout the school are encouraged to play an active role in student matters, and they can contact the Student Council through their elected form representative.

Peer Mentoring
Students from each year group are trained as peer mentors to support students on induction to the school, during lunchtimes or they may provide support for our less confident students throughout the year.

Student Receptionists:
Students in Year 8 are given the responsibility to develop their inter-personal skills and self-confidence through their participation in the two day student receptionist programme. They will meet and greet visitors to the school, plan and undertake guided tours of the school and support the front office staff. They will need to communicate with confidence, be polite and courteous and show good organisational skills.

Sports Leaders:
Students are encouraged to develop their leadership roles through a wide range of Sporting Leadership positions.
