Mrs Susan Morris
Deputy Headteacher Co-optedSue Morris joined Grainville school in 2011 as Deputy Headteacher. She began her teaching career in Hereford in 1993 and became Head of Maths in 1995, in the secondary school she attended as a student . She came to Jersey in 2001 to become Head of Maths at Le Rocquier and joined the Senior Leadership Team there in 2005. She has had a variety of different roles within the last 7 years, ranging from timetabler, coordinating the options process, data analyst, ICT coordinator and pastoral coordinator at KS3. She is particularly proud to have set up ‘Little Rocq’ a school within a school, which transformed the curriculum in Year 7, raising standards. She is now the Deputy Head for Inclusion across the school. In 2009, she obtained the National Qualification for Headship (Jersey). She is passionate about Mathematics and endeavours to engage all students and make Maths fun. Sue is married, with two teenage children and so understands teenagers well! She is an avid reader and enjoys long walks along the beach with her Labrador.
