Mr David Roworth
Deputy Headteacher Co-opted SeptDavid Roworth has more than 20 years experience teaching in local education. He joined Grainville School as Deputy Headteacher in September 2007 following several years as a Senior Teacher at Haute Vallee School. Mr Roworth began his teaching career as a Mathematics and PE specialist in 1992, graduating with a PGCE from Bristol University. His main responsibilities at Grainville are for curriculum, timetable and assessment, no doubt making use of his Maths skills!
Before teaching David enjoyed a short spell in the finance sector. He was schooled at Le Rocquier and Hautlieu and remains passionate about improving the life chances for young people in Jersey. David loves cycling, surfing and boating and he once cycled 6,500 miles across New Zealand, Canada and Alaska with his wife. He hopes to repeat the same route again with his wife and two daughters one day in the future!
