School Development Plan (SDP) 2011-12

Grainville School Development Plan (SDP)

Grainville School is proud of its open and honest dialogue with parents and the wider community. To this end we publicise our priorities for the year ahead and evaluate progress made. The purpose of the School Evaluation & Development Plan is to provide the framework for continued school improvement. It is a formal statement of intent for the development of the curriculum, the organisation and the staff. The Grainville School development plan is the result of discussion, prioritisation and strategic action planning at all levels of school life. It lies at the heart of our school improvement and effectiveness. By working in teams we move forward together as one.
Effective schools are best identified by a common shared understanding of
• Where are we now, how well are we doing ?
• How well should we be doing ?
• What should we aim to achieve this year ?
• What must we do to make it happen ? and
• When we will know if we have achieved success?

With these key questions in mind, the development plans will be constantly reviewed and progress monitored against the success criteria identified. Development plans can never be fixed in stone. Some plans will be adapted to meet new circumstances and priorities over the coming year. You are encouraged take time to examine the identified whole school and departmental priorities. Together we will move Grainville School forward, managing each step because it has been prioritised, planned, funded, managed and supported through professional development and training.
