Primary Schools

The Grainville Cluster : Catchment area

Our catchment area includes six primary schools. We work very closely with each to ensure a positive relationship based upon a high quality transition programme that best support the movement of pupils from primary school to Grainville. We pride ourselves on the outstanding cross-phase projects that bring teachers, teaching assistants and pupils together. Feedback from parents and pupils is outstanding, evidence of our strong cluster partnership.

This cluster serves the North East of the Island and the north of the town area of St Helier.

There are 6 feeder primary schools in our catchment:

In certain circumstances students may transfer from primary schools which are outside our catchment or from the private sector.

We are proud of our induction and transition programme.

  • Road Shows -  Autumn Term
  • Open day -  Autumn Term
  • Registration with secondary school -  Jan to Mar
  • Allocation to schools -  March
  • Parents evening for concerned new parents and students -  April
  • SENCO and Transition staff visit all primary feeder schools -  May
  • Two induction days for Year 6 pupils -  July
  • Parents’ Induction Evening -  July
  • Year 7 Settling in Evening -  October
